Cordero DeSica currently resides in Marietta, Georgia. Born and reared in LaGrange, GA, he moved to Atlanta with aspirations towards a career in art. Initially, he flirted with the idea of working in the field of commercial arts. However, while attending college, he found that he was a gifted illustrator and decided to focus his attentions there.

Upon graduation Cordero followed up on a lead from a friend and set up an interview with an upstart medical illustration firm. He arrived at the interview to find that all positions were filled. Never one to take an immediate no at face value, Cordero convinced the prospective employer to view his portfolio. The hiring manager stepped out of the room and returned two minutes later with the CEO of the company. Cordero was offered the job on the spot. He accepted a position as a medical illustrator and his professional career began. For five years, Cordero immersed himself in an intense study of human anatomy. The results of that experience are evident in the art he creates today.

Since that time, Cordero has journeyed far from the world of art. For the past three years, he has enjoyed a successful career in the software industry as a project manager. While it is said that most humans typically are defined as right or left brained, for Cordero there seems to be an even split that allows self-expression through his art while balancing his analytical side as a successful project manager.

Recently, Cordero was afforded the opportunity to explore a variety of art mediums which rekindled his interest. So, after a five year hiatus, Cordero has once again found himself immersed in his first love, illustration.
